The Board would like to inform all stakeholders at the High River Regional Airport that there is a pending scheduled runway closure for fog coating and line painting.

The dates impacted for this closure are: September 27 to 30, 2022 as per:

Fog Coat – September 27
Curing Period – September 28
Painting – September 29 and 30

In furtherance of this, a NOTAM will be issued 48hr in advance of this closure.

The impacts to the businesses and other users at the airport are being taken very seriously, as we understand that there are significant impacts to everyone involved. Due to the nature of the work, there are only a few contractors in the province that can perform this specialized type of work and they are at the mercy of weather across all of the regions that they work in. This can impact the schedules, especially at this time of year.

The contractor has committed to this current schedule of September 27-30. We will work closely with the contractor to ensure adherence to the schedule to the best of our abilities, however weather can still impact the ability to complete the work as planned.

Thank you for your understanding,
~ Project Management

The board for HRRA Ltd. apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause and we thank you for your patience as we work to keeping the airport Operationally Ready
